Ursula K. Green, 87, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at The Huntington Assisted Living in Newport News, Virginia. Born in Bavaria, Germany, she made Newport News her home for the past 58 years. For 67 years, Ursula dedicated herself to her Green family as a “domestic engineer.” She was a devoted member of the Christian faith.
Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Green, grandson, Taylor Green, parents, Elisabeth Leicht and Ernst Leicht, sister, Helga Leicht; and her niece, Heidi Leicht.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hinojosa-Green of LaGrange, North Carolina; her sons, Richard Green and Kelly Green; her grandchildren, Jennifer Green, Wesly Green, Ashly Hinojosa, Sara Green, Rachel Hinojosa-Cannon, and Taylor Green; her great-grandchildren, Layla Green, Patrick Cannon, Jackson Green, Miles Cannon, and Joshiah Green.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 12:00 p.m. at Pine Chapel Baptist Church, 1544 W. Queen Street, Hampton, Virginia, and will be officiated by Pastor David Parker.
