Tyler Harriss Hodges

It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Tyler Harriss Hodges, age 31, of Newport News. He is now in the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Tyler was a very charismatic young man. He was also a huge Baltimore Ravens fan and a true sports enthusiast. Tyler graduated from Warwick High School and was a member of Hilton Christian Church. He had a kindness about him that he would help out anyone in need if he were able. His charms, good looks, kindness, and fun sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Tyler is survived by his mother Elizabeth Bailey Hodges, his father Michael Hodges (Donna), stepsister Sarah Gurganus, Uncle Steve Hodges (Estelle), Uncle Todd Hodges (Chris), Aunt Lydia Brown (Michael), and cousins Stephanie, Amanda, Matthew, Katie, Cary, and Callie.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Heyward Bailey, and Grace and Alvah Hodges.

The service will be private but for the many that knew and loved Tyler, share a kindness to a stranger to honor him.
