Richard C. Sadler, II

Richard C. Sadler, II went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

Richard was a native of Smithfield, VA, and a resident of Newport News, VA, for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Seaford Baptist Church.

Richard served in the US Army for four years and was involved in conflicts in Vietnam, where he earned a Purple Heart. He retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Services in 2005 after working there 16 years.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sadler, mother, Mary Frances, and sister, Sandra Blackwell (Dale). He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rebecca Sadler; two sons, Ricky Sadler, and Adam Sadler (Deanna); grandchild, Emory Rebecca Sadler; sister, Helen Sadler Brumfield (Robert); brother, Randy Anderson; and other relatives, Bruce Blackwell, Samantha Pasterczyk, Lisa Kochendoerfer,
Rickilea Winfield, Joshua Long, Justin and John Brumfield,

A visitation at Peninsula Funeral Home will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seaford Baptist Missions.
