Phyllis A. Neill, 83, of King and Queen, passed into eternal rest on Monday, April 13, 2026. Though she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior.
Phyllis was born on March 26, 1943, to the late Willie O. Burnett and Hazel Barksdale Francisco (Jack). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the foundation of her life. Phyllis shared 59 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dennis, and her legacy of devotion lives on through the many generations she nurtured.
Her faith was the guiding force of her life. She loved Jesus dearly and was a faithful member of Northside Christian Church (Yorktown). Phyllis also shared a very special bond with her grandson Trevor and her great-granddaughter, Kamber, both of whom she loved beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Neill; her twin sons, Keith and Kevin; her siblings, Timmy, David, and Elaine; her grandson, Evan; and her great-aunt, June.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Phillip Neill (Anne); her granddaughter, Catherine Neill (Austin); and her beloved great-granddaughter, Kamber Carroll. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Trevor, Lauren, Mikayla, E.J., Michael, Tyler, and Thomas; her sister, Gloria (Darrell); her sister-in-law, Joanne; her close family friend, Leslie; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, with the service celebrating Phyllis’ life following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park.
