Linda Sue Foretich, 76, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2025.

Linda was born on October 20, 1948, in Smithfield, North Carolina, to parents Charlie F. Johnson Jr. and Rosa Lee Johnson. They relocated to Newport News when she was a child. She attended Warwick High School, where she met Jerry, her high school sweetheart.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Jerome “Jerry” Foretich, Sr., and is survived by her four children: Jerome “Jerry” Foretich Jr. (Kellie), Jeffrey Foretich (Jan), Laura McLelland (Tim), and Suzanne Moss (George).

Linda also leaves behind her brother, Charles F. Johnson III (Kathleen); her sister, Wanda Grampre (Glenn); and her brother, Joseph Johnson.

Her memory lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Julianna Foretich, Rachael Foretich, Chloe Moss, Rebecca Foretich, Ashley Foretich, Christian Moss, Kayleigh McLelland, and Ryan Foretich.

Linda was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and loving grandmother who frequently enjoyed gardening, reading, and visiting the Outer Banks. She was loved by all and will be missed every day.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News.
