Retired Staff Sergent Irving Kelly Ramirez, 88, of Newport News, VA, died at home on January 06, 2026. He was a native of Puerto Rico, and had been a resident of Newport News for 44 years.
A proud veteran, Kelly served 21 years of service in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergent before his retirement. He was proud to have done his duty to help defend the freedom of citizens across this country, and was a member of American Legion in Newport News.
Irving is survived by his wife, Brigitte Ramirez.
A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at Peninsula Funeral Home.
