Dave Irvine, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was a native of Rockbridge County, Virginia, and was a resident of Newport News.
Dave was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Ashley; father, Ellis Irvine; mother, Nellie Irvine; brothers, Tommy, Carl, Emmett “Buddy,” and Clinton Irvine; and his sister, Pearl I. Thomas “Sis.”
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Irvine; grandchildren, Travis, Shannon, and Miranda Ashley, and Madison Smith; sisters-in-law, Mary Frances, Helen, and Sara Irvine; brother, Roscoe Irvine; niece, Vicky Irvine; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Dave will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his special little buddy Louis. He leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable memories.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Peninsula Memorial Park.
