Christopher A. Stinson, 55, a lifelong resident of Newport News, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
A graduate of Menchville High School in 1989, he went on to attend Radford University and Christopher Newport University. Chris worked as an Information Technology Specialist at Canon for 15 years and was a member of Peninsula Church of Christ.
He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Alice Lee, his mother, Missie L Stinson, his father, Forrest Sanders, and his sister, Lolly Isom.
Chris is survived by his three sisters, Holly Jones, Janice Keaton (Robert), and Laverne Stinson; His brother, Preston Stinson (Yvette); Six nieces and nephews, Benjamin Jones (Renea), Brittany Jordan, Maurice Stinson, Korrina Stinson, Xavian Stinson and Aziya McCoy; As well as his brother-in-law, Robert Isom.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 1st at 11:00 am at Peninsula Church of Christ, 502 Woodlane Road Hampton, VA 23669, officiated by G. Hitchcock, with a burial following on Friday, May 1st 1:00pm at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
