Allison Marie Dressler, 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia. She was a native of Madison, Indiana, and had been a resident of Newport News for the past 36 years. Allison worked for two years at the Virginia Space Grant Consortium and for 22 years as CFO at the Mariners Museum. She loved the outdoors, the beach, her loving family, and her dog Daisy.
Allison was preceded in death by her father, Donald Johnson, and her mother, Barbara Perkinson Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Randall Dressler; two daughters, Summer Brooke Johnson, of Clarksville, Indiana, and Emma L. Dressler of Newport News, Virginia; son, Nicholas A. Dressler, and his wife, Haley, of Hampton, Virginia; one freshly born granddaughter whom she held on to ensure meeting, Charlotte Laine Dressler; one brother, Richard Johnson, and his wife, Kim of Madison, Indiana; niece, Anna Broad, and her husband, Brian of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Allison will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, Virginia, will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 3:00 p.m.
