Sarah Esther Alvarez-Mejia, infant daughter of Romelia Mejia and Marvin Alvarez, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.  A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Orlando Castro, will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings. Interment will follow the service at Peninsula Memorial Park.
