Roger “Dale” Wall, 73, of Newport News, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2023. 

Roger “Dale” was a native of Newport News and the son of the late Grover and Thelma Wall. Dale was awarded the Purple Heart, in Vietnam as a member of the US Army’s 101^st Airborne Division. Upon returning home, Dale worked as an engraver for the Newport News Shipyard. After 44 years he retired. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Sandy; son, Roger Wall Jr. (Anna-Marie); sister, Peggy Nacci; niece, Jackie Hudson; niece, Crystal; nephews, Brent and Mark Jr.; granddaughter, Brianna Wall; and great grandson, Ryder. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21 at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd, Newport News VA, 23606. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy, thoughts, and prayers.
