Patsy Ann Allen

Patsy Ann Allen, 74, of Newport News, VA passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

She was born in Danville, VA, on November 9, 1948, to the late Lawrence M. and Lucy A. Shelton.

Patsy was married for 45 years to the man of her life, Walter “Spook” T. Allen, Jr. They met on her first job at Shoney’s. She knew when she first glanced at him sitting on a bar stool, that he was the man she would spend the rest of her life with.

Patsy and Walter owned and operated Beacondsdale Red Barn. She was seen early in the morning making breakfast and greeting customers with a smile. Just as Patsy met Walter at her first job, they retired together at her last job. After retirement, Patsy spent her remaining years with her grandchildren. The grandchildren were the joy of her life and always kept her on her toes.
