Marilee M. Justice

On April 8, 2024, Marilee M. Justice departed this earth to be with her Lord and Heavenly Father. During her long life, she touched many lives and will not be forgotten.

Marilee leaves behind her son, James E. Justice, Jr. (Jim), and daughters Karen Pickering (Husband Richard) and Linda Perdue to cherish her memory. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Justin Justice (Keri), Katie Ham (Adam), Travis Justice (Lauren), Kristie Pickering, Brandon Pickering (Malia), Melissa Rowlands (William), and Jeremy Perdue (Becky), and her15 great-grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren always put a sparkle in her eyes.

Marilee was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Marshall; brothers, Tom and John Marshall; sister, Alice Sykes; and her loving husband of 48 years, James E. Justice, Sr.

After graduating from Hampton High School in 1947, Marilee worked in Civil Service at Ft. Eustis, NASA-Langley, and Ft. Monroe. She retired after 20 years of service. Marilee spent her remaining years volunteering for Sentara CarePlex for 19 and a half years at the information desk twice a week, which she loved every minute she was there. She was a lifetime Liberty Baptist Church member, serving her Lord by teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Children’s Choir. Marilee also lifted her beautiful voice to the Heavens in the Choir for many years.

A private graveside service will be held in her honor at Peninsula Memorial Park.
