Justin Keith Nelms, 30, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022.  He was a native of Suffolk, Virginia, and had been a resident of Newport News for most of his life.  He attended Denbigh High School and worked construction at the family business, HCN Contractors.

Justin was goofy and loved to make people laugh.  He was loyal to his family members and to all he loved; he loved working and being with family and close friends.  He was very kind and giving to anyone who needed help.  His smile will be remembered by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Horace Nelms, Jr., brother Baby Allen Nelms, and uncle Allen Nelms. 

He is survived by his mother Rosmidar Saad, father, William L. Nelms; sisters, Jessica Nelms-Piggott (Sterling) and Angelina Nelms; brothers, Lammie Nelms, Ricky Nelms, Josh Nelms, and Matthew Dake; nieces, Sha-Maya Johnson, Innisent Johnson, Lamia Piggott; nephews, Raymel Piggott, Sterling Piggott, Jr., Baby Justin Keith Nelms, Josiah Nelms, and Messiah Nelms; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Horace Nelms IV and Laura Nelms.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk.
