John Nixon Livingstone passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at The Hidenwood.  He was a native of the Bay area of California and served in the U.S. Navy (Seaman E-2) with six-plus years of service.  He was in the service during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  John retired as General Manager from Jefferson Smurfit Group (previously the Alton Box Board Company) after 25 years of service.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of America, Kiwanis, Rotary Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. Livingstone and Clara N. Livingstone.  He is survived by his wife, Brenda H. Livingstone; children, John N. Livingstone II (Wendy) of Newport News, Virginia and Nancy L. David (Clay III) of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren Clay David IV, Justin David, all of Atlanta; John N. Livingstone III (Nick), Audrey Livingstone, Grace L. Tyler, and Jackson Livingstone, all of Newport News; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua David, Lyla David Emma David, Charlotte David, Clara David, Caroline David, all of Atlanta, and Laine Tyler of Newport News; brothers, Charles A. Livingstone (Shotty) of Springfield, Missouri and Willard H. Livingstone II (Woody) of Palm Springs, California; and sister Louise L. Pultman of DesPeres, Missouri.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church, 403 Whealton Road, Hampton, VA, with Rev. Jeff Ferguson officiating.
