Dorothy Nettles Hancock
Dorothy Nettles Hancock, 73, native of Hampton and lifetime Peninsula resident, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. Mrs. Hancock worked in childcare at Big Bethel KinderCare, finding joy in the people there of all ages.
She is survived by her brother, William M. Nettles; her son, Paul Hancock; and her daughter, Liz Ritter.
The family will have a visitation at Peninsula Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Hampton Special Olympics, Area 22.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd. Newport News, VA 23601.
