She passed very peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family and loved ones on the morning of Saturday, October 1, 2022, after a brief and sudden illness at the age of 58.  During this time, she was surrounded by love and cared for by her close friends, children, and her husband Daniel.

Donna Bane had a compassionate spirit of love and care for others. She worked as a caregiver and companion for the elderly, receiving several awards for caregiving excellence throughout her time working with Visiting Angels. Throughout her life, she modeled the love of Christ and she inspired others to live with more gentleness and compassion. Donna always looked for the good in others and had unwavering faith in difficult situations. Even in her last moments, she was a bright light to those around her. There was so much love in Donna’s life. She was an incredible teacher and mother who inspired everyone who knew her. Her legacy will live on in all of us.
