Brenda T. Smith
Brenda T. Smith passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023.Ā She was a lifelong resident of Newport News and was a 1964 graduate of Newport News High School.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Smith, and sister, Barbara āBobbieā Gardner.Ā She is survived by two sons, David E. Smith (LoriAnn) and Steve Smith (Gina Rondinelli); two grandchildren, Amanda Ward and Lauren Smith; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Rylee; three sisters, Nelda Wilson (Howard), Marie Davis, and Connie Copeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, with a memorial service following at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
