Anne Webster Fitzgerald, 78, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021. Born Beverly Anne Webster to Joel and Sally Webster on January 7, 1943, in Newport News, VA. A lifelong resident of Newport News, Anne married Robert Fitzgerald her husband of 55 years. Anne was fairly well known for her time watching the neighborhood kids, as well as her own, as the “gatekeeper” at Colony Pool where she built many lasting relationships. Later in life, Anne loved having friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren, spend time at their house on Lake Gaston.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents Joel and Sally and her brother JD. She is survived by her husband Robert, son Jeff (Beth), daughters Ashley Hicks (Trey) and Whitney Koskinas (Chris), and her beloved grandchildren Taylor, Ian, Mackenzie, Luke, Kennedy, and Pickle, and her sister-in-law, Mary Webster.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.  The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.
