Alicia Ward
At the age of 77 years, Alicia transitioned from earth into the arms of our Lord and Savior. Alicia was the wife of the late Frank Ward; they spent twenty-six years together. Frank left the world on Alicia’s birthday on January 1, 2024, so she left ten days later to still be by his side and together.
Alicia was the daughter of the late Paul and Eloise Brown of Hampton. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Hampton.
She was blessed with two daughters by her first marriage, Donna (Ed) and Carol (Chris); two stepdaughters, Margie (Chris) and Christie (Adam); six grandchildren whom she loved dearly; seven cousins, Tina, Beth, Kay, Katherine, Joanne, Betty, and Tommie; niece, Kathy; and nephews, Paul, and Brian. We will surely miss her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Peninsula Funeral Home from 5 to 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will occur on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., followed by the burial at Peninsula Memorial Park.
Services are entrusted to Peninsula Funeral Home of Newport News, VA.

My mother was a good person whom I will miss very much. She will be our angel and she also leaves her great grandchildren Great granddaughter Desiree Jane Yvonne Butler, and a great grandson soon to be born Connor James Butler . We will tell them about her and their Great Grandfather Frank Ward. He was a good person too. Which we will miss both of them alot.
She was a good woman with a great big heart. She was also the beloved sister of the late Alton Paul Brown Sr.
Her niece, Dallas Brown and nephew Shawn Martin will miss her dearly. As will I. Are thoughts are with you and your sister Carole.
My prayers and thoughts are with Carole and Donna as they go threw this difficult time and rest of Alicia’s family. Please remember she will always be watching over you. God has his sweet Angel with him now. All my love 💓
