Catherine Jacob Lawler
Catherine Jacob Lawler, 62, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was born in 1961 in Newport News, Virginia, to Samuel T. Jacob, Jr. and Dora Lee Jacob. Cathy graduated from Ferguson High School and then started her own cleaning company. She had a great love for animals and had many beloved pets throughout the years.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel T. Jacob, Jr. and Dora Lee Jacob. She is survived by her children Aubry Horne,
Sara Lawler, and Byron Mills; brothers Michael W. Jacob and Samuel T. Jacob III; niece Lydia Cates; and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23606.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.
