Vickie Crayton Foley, 70, of Newport News was called to be with our Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Riverside Hospital.  Vickie was a Hampton native, proud Hampton High graduate class of ‘68, and resident of Newport News.

Vickie was recently preceded in death by her father, Charles “Chuck” Crayton.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Andy Foley, III; mother, Buena “Sam” Crayton; sons, Andy (Grayce) Foley, IV, Patrick (Juli) Foley, and Matthew (Genny) Foley; brother, Gary (Rhonda) Crayton; grandchildren, Charlie, Sophia, Drew, and Carolina; as well as a several family members.

Vickie worked many years in the dental industry as a dental assistant and then as a scheduler before retiring.  She had also been a very active member of Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church, dedicated to its members and missions.

Vickie cared about those she met and was always devoted to both friends and family.  Consistently smiling and laughing, she genuinely embodied kindness as well as a spirit of welcome and comfort with all whom she came into contact.

Vickie enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and playing with her grandchildren.  She could always be depended on to provide a listening ear or having a heartfelt conversation.  She will forever be cherished in hearts and through the many wonderful memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church at 1024 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA 23601.  Due to Covid 19, the family is planning a virtual service on the Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church Facebook page to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 6th at 1pm.
