Elizabeth Ann George

Elizabeth Ann Webb George, affectionately known as “Liz,” went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

She was a native of Hampton, Virginia, and a resident of Newport News, Virginia for over 40 years.

Liz loved car rides, camping, and spending time at the beach digging around in the sand in hopes of finally finding that “treasure.”  She was a strong, independent woman, an animal lover, and always put her family and others first. Liz cherished her pictures and loved making memories.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Daisy L. Webb as well as her brothers, James L. Webb (Jimmy) and William A. Webb (Billy). She is survived by her children, Danielle Harper (Brad) and Aron Millette, and seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Joshua, Aiden, Landon, Daisy, Bryce, and Abigale.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to FreeKind, 1705 Todds Lane, Hampton, VA 23666 (www.freekindva.org).

    Liz was a beautiful person and accepted people for who they are. Non judge mental, always willing to help no matter what her state was. She literally loved everyone!!! Liz will be missed in this world! ❤️

    Liz was a beautiful, fun loving woman with a big heart. She was my best friend of 55 yrs. and I loved her like a sister. I am going to miss her so much.

    I am so sorry about Liz.
    I just found out about her passing.
    Haven’t known Liz for a long time now but she was a wonderful person and mom when I knew her.
    She was my first true love in life when I met her at 19 years old.
    She put up with me when she didn’t have to.
    Good woman.
