Dr. Robert C. Medford

It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Robert C. Medford, 89, of Williamsburg, VA announces his passing, as he went to be with the Lord, on January 10, 2023. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was a native of Canton, NC, and graduated from Canton High School in North Carolina, then he went on to receive his Master’s in Chemical Engineering and lastly obtained a Doctorate Degree from Trinity School of Nature Health in Warsaw, Indiana.

His career started with serving our country for 2 years in the Army. He further went on to Wake Forrest University in NC to continue his studies in Chemical Engineering. Robert worked for DOW Chemical for 10 years as a Chemical Engineer. He went on to work at Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA for 27 years as the head of the Chemical Engineering and Lavatory Department. Dr. Robert C. Medford was a high-ranking Chemical Engineer with a top-secret security clearance who traveled all over the world, Israel, the United Kingdom, Germany, and South Korea, conducting audits of non-destructive testing USA-designed aerospace equipment for 17 years for NADCAP Chemical Processing and Aerospace Industry Department.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maedell Medford.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Dr. Carol A. Medford, that shared a life of love and affection for each other; his children, Mark Medford, Jason Medford, Tammy West, Sabrina Davis, Robert E. Medford; his 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Dr. Robert C. Medford at the Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd, in the mausoleum on January 21, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy take the form of donations and contributions to, “Friend of Israel”. You can find the donation information on the website, www.FOI.org.

    It is with heavy hearts that we send our condolences to the Medford family. Robert will be missed but we look forward to the great reunion one day.
