Bill was a quiet man when I met both he and his wife. But get him started and he enjoyed talking about his experiences and the things he enjoyed. Soft spoken but full of zeal for the things he knew. God bless Bill’s wife and daughter.
Mr. Bill was one of the best people I ever hired at Food Lion. I am so glad he chose to stay so long. Such a blessing to all of us for so many years. He was loved by all.
Voyageur Bill, was a 40 & 8 Directeur for our POW-MIA program for many years. We both, being Navy, had many conversations about the good time and yes sometimes the bad times we went through in uniform. Normally, a very quiet individual until you said something bad about the Navy, 40 & 8 and the American Legion. My pleasure was to be his Correspondant, the year he was our Virginia Grande Chef de Gare. We had a lot of fun for the organization. Our Grande Staff 40 & 8 offers condolences to Miss Liz and the family. “lest we forget”.
