Thomas Reed Marr, Sr., 81, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was a native of Hampton but had lived in the Yorktown/Poquoson area for the last 45 years. Thomas retired from John J. McMullen & Associates after 25 years of service.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Justine A. Marr; parents, Charles C. Marr, Sr. and Edna Mae (Ashe) Marr; brothers, Charles C. Marr, Jr., William D. Marr, Kenneth L. Marr, and Richard D. Marr; and sister, Faye M. Taylor.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas R. Marr, Jr. (Joy) and Adam G. Marr (Brittany); five grandchildren, Christopher, Jackson, Lee, Justine, and Thelin; brother, Philip Marr (Marilyn); brother-in-law, George Siddall; and sisters-in-law, Bobbie Sue Marr, Carolyn Marr, Caroline Marr and Lynda Siddall.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will be private.
