Randy L. Harris, 73, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was a native of Washington, North Carolina, and a resident of Newport News for 68 years. Randy retired as a Master Shipbuilder from the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company after 47 years of service.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper G. Harris and Rosa Lee Harris, brothers Bobby Harris of Hampton and Jackie Harris of Washington, North Carolina, and sister Kay Harris Faherty of Seaford, Virginia.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn A. Wiggins of Greenbay, Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy’s journey on earth may have ended, but his legacy continues through the strength he demonstrated, the lives he touched, and the cherished memories held by those who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.
