Johann William Pfeiffer, Lt. Col. (Ret.), (Han), 82, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2024. He was a native of Colorado and had been a resident of Newport News for 32 years. Col. Pfeiffer served in the United States Air Force with 28 years of service, including Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was awarded numerous metals, including Top Gun.
He received an MBA from Pepperdine. He retired after 14 years of service as a Division Manager at SAIC.
Col. Pfeiffer was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Pfeiffer, parents, Carl and Goldye Pfeiffer, and sister, Madelon Hoffman. He is survived by his daughter, JoLynn Hughes (Buster); sons, Shawn Brultz (Jana) and Andy Pfeiffer; seven grandchildren, Katrina Pfeiffer, Sadie Brultz, Sally Brultz, Brittany Hughes, Rhett Hughes, Madison Hughes, and Riley Hughes; bonus granddaughters, Jill F., Katie C., and Lexi J.; sister, Valeta Bagwell; brother, Jon Pfeiffer; furry companion, Sassy and numerous close friends and fishing buddies.

I will always remember our good times at the Marina and the boating trips to Bay Days and Dinners.
Beth and Han were Good Friends and that will always be Treasured.
