Isabell F. McLeod was born in Panama City, Panama, on September 8th, 1924. She was one of four children born to Herman Frederick and Edith Hall. She was raised by her aunt, affectionately known as Auntie. Isabell was a resident of Newport News, Virginia, for 34 years. She passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings, Ivy, Sylvia, and her brother Ivan; and her great-grandson Ezekiel. Isabell leaves great memories to be cherished by her three children, Gloria McLeod Morgan, Odetta McLeod and Charles Allan McLeod Jr.; six grandchildren, Alexandria Morgan, Xena Jones (Glen), Jessica McLeod, Gabriel Antonio Morgan Jr. (Virginia), Leah McLeod, and Elijah McLeod; and five great-grandchildren, Tatyana Morgan, Liam Wallace, Brooklyn Morgan, Sahjé Armstrong, and Gabriel Morgan III. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends at New Beech Grove Baptist Church, 361 Beechmont Dr, Newport News on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with interment in Peninsula Memorial Park.
