NEWPORT NEWS – Mr. Francis James Pullen, 74, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025,
in Newport News. He was a native of Trenton, NJ and had been a resident of
Newport News for 24 years. He was a retired Army veteran of 22 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Harumi Pullen. Survivors include his son
Robert J. Pullen; two daughters, Kathy A. Bilyeu and husband John T. Bilyeu
and Edith H. Ramirez and husband Jesus P.M. Ramirez; his grandchildren,
Thai Ngo Jr., Angel L. Alvarez and wife Aley B. V. Garland, Maria H. Ortiz,
Juan S. Ortiz, Brittany R. Lozano and Allisa H. Pullen; great grandchild Angel
L. R. Alvarez.
A viewing will be held at 6p.m. to 7:30p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 and the
funeral service will be held at 3p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 at Peninsula
Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA.
