Elizabeth “Liz” Amelia Roncagliolo Walker, age 78, of Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on July 11, 1947, in Washington, DC, and was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Liz was known for her kindness, strength, humor, and generosity, and she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Liz is survived by her daughters, Kayla Walker Fowler and Kimberly Walker, grandson Sean Walker-Hall, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Allen Walker, parents Peter and Mary Roncagliolo, and sister Judith Roncagliolo Thompson.
Liz found joy in reading, teaching family recipes to her grandson, and spending time with family and friends. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on through her family.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, Virginia. Flowers are welcome.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
