Dorothy (Dotty) May Coburn, 76, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. She was a native of Lewiston, Maine, and had lived in Newport News for the last 10 years. Dotty was of the Episcopalian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Coburn and Muriel Girard, stepmother Dorothy Coburn, brother Charles Coburn, sister-in-law Renee Coburn, nephew Gregory Michaud, and great-grandchild Kaisley Bell.
Dotty is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Hoyt and Nicole Smith; three grandchildren, Daniel Hoyt, Keanna James, and Katy Hoyt; four great-grandchildren, Ian James, Alayah James, Grace Cafarelli, and Zariyah Smith; sister Sheila Michaud; brothers Harry Coburn, Billy Coburn, and Gary Girard; and several loved nieces and nephews.
Dotty leaves a tremendous legacy. She will be missed immensely, and though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.
