Daniel C. Scarborough, age 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at home after several years of declining health. Danny had a lot of friends who would come over to his house . Play pool even get in his Hot Tub . We both attended MHS but not together we were maybe 5-6 years apart .
I met Danny selling me Corporate cell phones from Nextel & & later Sprint . When I found he was from MHS we hit it off . I knew lots of lil brothers & sisters t & I knew their big brother or sister . Plus we both Hunted big game, loved racing at Langley & NASCAR which he promised tickets in the future in his box seat area at Langley since he was a named sponsor through his phone sales. He got me tickets as a Corporate sponsor from my Company Commonwealth Pest Control once to a Redskin Game.
I asked Danny to go with me to use the plus one other ticket. That guy seem to almost tear up . He said he’s given away a ton of tickets & nobody ever offered to take him as their plus one or second ticket. After that Danny always introduced me as his “Good Buddy Johnny” . So we went to many pro nascar races together even overnight in some of his friends campers. We went Hunting on his hunting area and my hunt club area too . Plus lots & lots of other event or just out for lunch or dinner as good buddies . Danny was a true friend I will miss. He had a lot of friends good friends through his life . However after the surgery that went wrong in December 2015 when he called me to tell me what happen I think on his Birthday . It changed his life forever … I noticed many of his friends stop coming around . He could not get around well & didn’t want to be a burden to others I guess . Danny was no burden . We went to lots of places afterwards . I’d pick him up every year to a close friends Super Bowl party . He see a lot of old friends & ate some good food . He really love going to it every year and looked forward to it to see many of his ole school mates & other friends too .
I saw him last in Hospice just before I went on a outta state trip to see my son Cory.
His Mom Ada called & wanted to make sure I knew Danny had passed at 4:30am on 7-1-2025. Miss ya my Good Buddy & faithful friend . I hope we will see each other in Heaven some day my good friend always .
