Charles “Goose” Claude Price

Charles “Goose” Claude Price, 73, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He had been a resident of Newport News for over 20 years. Goose retired from Huntington Ingalls Industries as a design engineer after 12 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Price, and two brothers.

Goose is survived by his wife of 21 years, Crystal Dunn-Price; four sons, Christopher Price Sr. and his wife, Kevin Price and his wife, stepson, Christopher Hill, and stepson Timothy Hill and his wife; four grandchildren, Christopher Price Jr., Ava Price, Ronin Price and Isabel Price; one great-grandchild, Ryklynn Price; and his mother, Mildred Slusser.

Goose’s journey on earth may have ended, but his legacy continues through the strength he demonstrated, the lives he touched, and the cherished memories held by those who knew him. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home with a graveside service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.

    I am sad to read of the passing of Goose. He was my neighbor many years ago. People also called him Chuck back then. He was a kind, thoughtful and well mannered gentleman. Prayers and hugs to the Price family during this difficult time.
