Andrew Patrick Almaguer, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 68.
Born on August 26, 1957, Andrew was the son of the late Robert V. Almaguer and Martha C. Almaguer. He lived a life grounded in love for his family and simple joys, especially his passion for fishing and winemaking, which brought him great happiness and many cherished memories.
Andrew is survived by his devoted wife, Jean Almaguer; his daughter, Kristen Lavender (Kevin); and his son, Robert “Bobby” Almaguer. He was a proud grandfather to Liam and James, and he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his granddaughter, Ellie, expected at the end of March.
Andrew will be remembered for his warmth, his dedication to his family, and the quiet, steady presence he brought to those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, with a funeral service immediately following at Demaine Celebration of Life Center, 45511 E. Severn Way, Sterling, VA 20166.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23606.
