Seo Boon Soon (also known as Halmony) passed from this earth on January 14, 2021. Halmony was born February 22, 1923 in Kwangyang City, South Korea. She was the loving and devoted wife to her husband, Joo Man Jo, who has predeceased her.

Halmony is survived by her four children: son Woo Jun, daughter Kyong Ja and her husband Blake Anderson, Sr., daughter Yong Ja, daughter Sook Ja, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family was the center of Halmony’s life. She doted on all her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Later in life, she was an active member of the Peninsula Korean Baptist Church and a regular at all the church’s Senior Group activities. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Her funeral service will be held graveside on Monday, January 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery, with her burial following immediately after. Facial masks and social distancing will be required.

Friends may join the funeral procession, which will depart at 12:30 p.m. from the Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd in Newport News and proceed to the cemetery.
