Sara Sue Law, 91, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Sara had been a Peninsula resident since 1978. She was a retired nurse and homemaker, a member of Denbigh Presbyterian Church, and an active member of the Newport News Crime Watch Association.
Sara was born November 25, 1932, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest L. Stephens and Edythe Zimmerly Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Law, brother, James Stephens, and sisters, Nancy Stephens and Joanne Louise Admire. She is survived by her brothers, Ernest Stephens and Russell Stephens; son, James G. Law; grandchildren, Ryan Law (Nicole), Jordan Law, Tyler Law (Max), and Kelsey Law; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Liam, and London.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at the Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Newport News Police Department, Community and Youth Outreach Division.
