Rita Carol Wikle
Rita Carol Wikle, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of faith. Born in West Virginia, Rita Carol Wikle spent her childhood years in the embrace of its rolling hills. She eventually made her home in Newport News, Virginia, where she lived for 63 years. Rita earned a business degree from Marshall College and worked at Langley Air Force Base. Rita’s dedication extended to her Christian community, where she fervently served at Warwick Assembly of God and Calvary Assembly of God.
Preceded in death by husband Harry Wikle, brother John Kidd, and parents Virgil and Blanche Kidd, as well as Dallas and Janie Kidd, she is survived by son Tim Wikle (Michele), daughters Janie Carpenter-Jurgens, and Tracie J. Metz (Timothy), along with grandchildren Tristan, Brandon (Stephani), Bryce, Brielle (Jacob), Madeline, and Daniel, and great-grandchildren Isla and SJ. She is also survived by her sister Rosalee Keeling and extended family, who will carry forward her spirit of compassion and faith.
Rita’s faith in Christ illuminated her path, and her legacy will forever be a beacon of love and devotion.
A private family graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

We have wonderful memories if times spent with your parents. Our trips to PTL and youth trips. We will miss them both. May Gid comfort you at this time.
