Richard Wayne “Rick” Little

Richard Wayne “Rick” Little, 73, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was a lifelong Peninsula resident. Rick retired as co-owner of Tire City, Inc. and was a loyal member of the Grey Beards, MC. With his generous heart, he could always be counted on to ride his Harley Davidson for charity runs. He was also passionate about rescue dogs and had saved many over the years.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, L. Frank Little, Sr. and Claudia B. Little; and brother, D. Michael Little, Sr.

Rick is survived by two sisters, Claudia L. Rosen (Whit) and Cindi L. Townsend (Tom); brother, Frank Little, Jr. (Cynthia), along with numerous other loving friends and family. Rick is also survived by his beloved rescue dog, Lucky.

A funeral service will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will occur following the service until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gloucester/Mathews Humane Society.

Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.

    I did not know you Sir, but I do know how much your sister Claudia loved you. I wish I could have helped more not just you but your family. I know you are in the hands of the Lord now and feeling no more pain. All well and with Claudia’s Son.

    I can’t believe it…I just talked to Rich not long ago. I used to date Rich in the early 80s.. I drove his El Camino he had so many times.. He was a big part of my life then. I’m so sorry…I remember Claudia and his brother that lived beside him. Rest in Peace Rich! 💖✝️✝️✝️

    Rick, we will miss you. Many times over the years I’d see you up at Tire City with Mike and his wife Joanne. I’d come with my father-in-law Eggie Garth Jr. to visit. You always had a joke to tell. Some of them I could never repeat. You were a good man. I’m glad to have known you.
