Peggy Ancell Farmer, 74, passed away on December 31, 2020 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and close friend to many. A native of Hampton, Virginia, Peggy was a resident of Poquoson for the past 40+ years. She retired from M. Price Distributing Company and was most recently employed with Peninsula Funeral Home.

Peggy was preceded in rest by her first husband, Bobby Ancell; mother, Julia Moore; father, Jack Turnage; and granddaughter, Samantha Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, David Farmer; daughter, Tammy Johnson; sons, David Farmer, Jr., and Steven Farmer; four grandchildren, Steven Farmer, Jr., Ellen Owens, Madison Johnson, and Abigail Johnson; great- grandchild, Ashby Owens; sister, Cecile Hopkins; brothers, Robert “Buddy” Turnage and Kevin Moore; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., in Newport News, officiated by Scott Moore.
