Nadine Carol Egge Fradette Balenger Varona, 78, of Yorktown (Boston, VA), passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was a native of West Allis, Wisconsin. Nadine was of the Christian faith and an active volunteer in the church. After caring for and raising her family, she obtained her Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling at Bethlehem Christian University. She was dedicated to her work with the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Fredericksburg. The hobbies she truly enjoyed were baking and sewing, especially quilting, which she enjoyed sharing with others. Nadine’s true passion in life outside of God, family & friends, especially later on in life was her love of the mountains and traveling.

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Balenger and her parents, Dorothy Jane and Norman Harold Egge. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Skinner, Michelle Gesswein, Kiersten Batteen (Ryan), Michael Wolf (Wendy), Steve Balenger (Sylvie), and Tamara Balenger (Linda); grandchildren, Kami, Hailee, Tyler, Amber, Aaron, Aidan, Alex, and Nick; brother, Dennis Egge (Vera); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on December 4, 2021 at 12:00 at Novum Baptist Church, 1629 Novum Church Road, Reva, VA 22735.
