Monique Paule Buck, 89, of Hampton passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  She was a native of Lambézellec, Brest, France, and a resident of Hampton for over 50 years.  Monique worked in sales including LaVogue and The Fine Arts Shop.  She was a member for over 40 years of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Carmelite in the OCDS Community of St. Joseph’s, and an active member of the Altar Linens Ministry, Nocturnal Adoration, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Stations of the Cross, Food Pantry, Tuesday Morning Breakfast For Those In Need and the Rosary Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Johnie Clifton Buck, Jr.; parents, Paul Georges Fernand Réal and Jeanne Marguerite Marzin; and sisters, Marguerite Réal Mamillion and Marie Paule Réal Morin.  Monique is survived by her daughter, Geraldine “Dina” Buck McCreary, and her husband Ricardo “Rick”; grandsons Derek W. McCreary and Joshua Alexander McCreary; great-grandson, Max McCreary; dear nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a funeral service following at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Peninsula Memorial Park.
