Mary L. Hux of Yorktown, VA passed away on Dec. 6, 2020 at the age of 95 years young.  She was born in Nash, N.C. in 1925.  Mary was the loving mother of Glynda Anne Whalen, James Baker Hux, William Clay Hux (Jan), and Kemp Allen Hux (Kim).  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  Mary loved watching snowfalls in winter, but enjoyed springtime even more and watching her flowers bloom.  She is now resting peacefully with her family that have passed on before her, who she spoke of frequently.  Mary will forever be missed by all that knew her.  We will always love you.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., in Newport News.  Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Guests are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
