Larry Dwayne Bradsher, 83, passed away on October 25, 2021 at home after a long illness. He was born in Yanceyville, NC to the late Katherine Frances Bradsher and John Henry Bradsher. Larry worked at Newport New Shipbuilding for 36 years, retiring in 2000 and then traveled to all 50 states. He was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Men and was president of the Peninsula United Methodist Men for 8 years. He was a past member of Parkview United Methodist Church in Newport News and a member of Shackelfords Chapel United Methodist Church in King and Queen County where he had been an Adult Sunday School teacher for many years.

Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Austin Bradsher, Robert Bradsher, and Wallace Bradsher; sisters, Margaret Holder and Jeanette Jones; and son-in-law, Ron Norton. He is survived by his loving wife, Sybil Curles Bradsher; children, Kimberly Norton, Connie Kidwell (Steve), Larry Bradsher, Jr. (Margie), and Randall Bradsher (Katrina); brother, Jerry Bradsher (Karron); grandchildren, Meagan Norton, Brent Norton (Bridget), Abby Norton, Kevin Kidwell, and Josie Kidwell; and great-grandsons, Levi, David and Penn Norton.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Peninsula Funeral Home. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.
