Kenneth Gene Stultz, 93, died Friday, May 19, 2023. He was born in Newport News, VA on April 19, 1930.

Gene was a graduate of Hampton High School in 1947, the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School in 1954, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952. He attended the College of William and Mary and the NASA Apprentice School. Gene retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth G. Sultz and Josephine Priddy Stultz; his first wife, Judy Mims Stultz; and his daughter, Debra Jo Stultz.

Gene is survived by his wife, Sudie Jones Stultz; sons, Kenneth Gene Stultz, Jr. (Gayle), and Gary D. Stultz (Meg); stepchildren, Thomas P. Bales (Becky), Elaine B. Hambright (Brian), James A. Bales (Diane); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will have a visitation at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Peninsula Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M.
