Joseph Glen “Joe” Hudson, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at his home in Newport News.  He was born in Hilton Village in 1930 and lived there for 70 years.  Joe was a graduate of Morrison High School and the NASA Apprentice School.  He worked with NASA at Langley AFB for 37 years. Joe was an avid runner and golfer and he loved to read.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a man of deep faith who attended church regularly with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Wright Hudson; two daughters, Karen Hudson Carnali (Bruce) and Kelly Hudson Hankins (Howard); two sons, Joseph “Glen” Hudson, Jr. (Susan) and Gary Baxter Hudson; seven grandchildren, Joseph Hudson, III, Jeffrey Hudson, Alison Hudson Childs, Brent Carnali, Kaci Carnali, Catie Hankins Ashe and Bowen Hankins; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hilton Baptist Church, with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hilton Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
