John William Patrick, Sr., 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, after complications from a long illness. John was born on June 11, 1942 in Liverpool, England. He later settled in Virginia where he enjoyed a long career with Dominion Energy.

John was preceded in death by his wife Mary “Mandy” Patrick, son Christopher Charles Patrick, and grandson Zachary Brett Patrick. He leaves to cherish his memory his son John William Patrick Jr. (Liz); daughter in law Travis Hansin (Chris); grandsons Christopher Austin Patrick and Ethan Rolle, granddaughters Julia Loren Patrick, London Patrick, and Mia Montague, brother Joe Patrick (Marilyn); and a host of other dear family and friends. John left a lasting legacy that is impossible to measure. He will be eternally missed by his family, who will carry on with ebbing waves of memories in their hearts.

A memorial service for John will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday October 30, 2021, at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
