James “Jim” Hartzheim, Jr.
James “Jim” Hartzheim, Jr., 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1951, and graduated from Bethel High School in Hampton, VA. Jim loved golfing, fishing, shooting pool, and watching hockey and football. He loved working with his hands and most of all, he loved being a Granddad to Lexi.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Hartzheim, Sr. and Virginia Hartzheim, and his sister, Cheri Krapcho. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Paul; granddaughter, Lexi Paul; brothers, Mick Hartzheim (Mary) and Pat Hartzheim; sisters Kathy Hutchison (Bob) and Sandy Fitch; nieces and nephews; and his long-time companion, Donna Ward.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
The family would like to especially thank Riverside Hospice for the compassionate care during Jim’s final weeks
