Jacqueline Gray, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was a native of Hampton, VA, and has been a resident of York County for the last 18 years. Jacqueline worked as a Billing Administrator for 10 years with Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO).  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a volunteer for Hampton City Schools.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Gray; her parents, James E. and Inez S. Council; and her sister, Sara “Betty” Bessard.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Brockington (Donn); grandchildren, Ashlyn Staul (Matt), and Austin Brockington; great-grandson, Cameron Staul (expected May 10, 2023); niece, Kimberley MacLean; sister-in-law, Grace Hawkins, and many other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests at their home, located at 116 Stone Lake Court, Yorktown, VA 23693, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, 12:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.
