Jacklyn Sonier Kietlinski

Jacklyn Sonier Kietlinski, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and had lived in Newport News for over 50 years. Jacklyn was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Ft. Eustis Catholic Chapel, where she was active in various ministries, including The Pregnancy Solutions Program. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and enjoyed gardening and helping neighbors or anyone else who needed help.

Jacklyn was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Leo Kietlinski, daughter, Mary Elizabeth, and sister, Connie.

She is survived by her sons Art Kietlinski and his wife Gina, Robert Michael Sonier and wife Terri, daughter Pamela Pastros and her husband Jim, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Richard Sonier and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Pregnancy Solutions Program at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 100 Harpersville Rd. Newport News, VA 23601.

A funeral will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a private burial at Hampton National Cemetery.

    Reuben and Shelly Brooks were her neighbor for 28 years she were a very sweet person she was always helping me in the yard and did everything she could to help truly going to miss her
